cownchicken Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 It goes everywhere 'Bob, but precious few photos ever get taken with it - except soccer or should I say football matches! Quote
CapeDoc Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 How about you Doc? OK, but coming from a team with over 2000 finds...... Where is this? GZ for the cache can be seen in the photo. Quote
CapeDoc Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Cape St Francis. Canal Challenge cache. Yup! A terrain 5 cache which hopefully will be a bit of a fun challenge to finders. Are you up for the challenge iNokia? Quote
iNokia Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I never let a 5 star terrain get in the way of finding a cache. Just need to get down to Cape St Francis. Where is this. Quote
BruceTP Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I never let a 5 star terrain get in the way of finding a cache. Just need to get down to Cape St Francis. Where is this. This looks suspiciously like the Augrabies Falls - One of my favourite places. Quote
iNokia Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 This looks suspiciously like the Augrabies Falls - One of my favourite places. That was quick. Yes it's the cache called Arrarat. Quote
BruceTP Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Here is an easy one in another beautiful part of our country. Quote
Bouts777 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Going Loco in Graskop? Jip. That's my answer also. Quote
BruceTP Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Yes indeed. Let's see what Bouts777 has to offer! Quote
RedGlobe Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Where is this I will try this one...It looks like “Crystal Dam at Barton’s Folly” Quote
Team Ginger Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 That looks very much like one of those caches placed for the Mazda Adventure Zone Event in the Magaliesberg area... I just don't remember the dam being so big.. The cache was called HORNBILL - I see it had been archived already.. My photo: hmm - suddenly I'm not sure at all that this is it... Quote
iNokia Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I will try this one...It looks like “Crystal Dam at Barton’s Folly” The water is very crystal clear, but it's not the cache. The cache was called HORNBILL - I see it had been archived already.. Nope. The cache is very old and sadly does not seem to be there anymore. The water really takes one by surprise. Quote
CapeDoc Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Although I haven't cached there, nor know of any caches there, it looks like Wondergat to me, a sinkhole, where many moons ago I did a deep diving scuba course. Edited July 1, 2010 by CapeDoc Quote
iNokia Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 A difficult one? HINT . It's a Northern Cape roadside cache. Quote
Hesamati Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Ai-Nokia your Northern Cape has thrown me now - we followed in your footsteps to and from the Kgalagadi, your log was the last one in almost all the caches we've done along the way! I was convinced it's Dealseville fountain, but that's in the Free State, so I'll have to settle for Kimberley's small hole... Quote
iNokia Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Where is this There seems to be no takers on this one. The cache in question is {R385 Posmansburg (GMC015Z)}. I would say it an old quarry that has filled up with water. The water is not visible from the road albeit only 20 meters from the road. The cache seems to be missing. Sadly it is not luckily to be maintained. Ok, I assume since no one got that one I get to go again with hopefully an easier one. Where is this. Quote
Hesamati Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Our only DNF of the holiday! The Eye of Kuruman. Quote

Team Ginger Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 We couldn't finf that cache either when we visited Kuruman.... we looked everywhere (well, almost it seems) and were cinvinced that it wasn't there - but then it had finds thereafter... I'll be back for the killing ... some day!!!!! Darn illusive thing! Quote
iNokia Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 (edited) I know were you've been. Tierberg by hennieventer Same tree? Edited July 8, 2010 by iNokia Quote
Hesamati Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Indeed (and yes the same kokerboom)! You're it and I'll stay out (until our GC histories diverge a little more... ) Quote
Bouts777 Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Another finger cache. The pinnacle near Graskop on the way to God's Window. Quote
