Where can you find Geocaching id numbers on geocaching.com not on the forms.

Not sure what you mean.

Every geocaching account (aka as the person who signed up) has a number: Yours is: 1895372

You can find this by moving the cursor over the name here in the forum. At the bottom of the browser page will be a link which includes the owner id.

If you want your own ID, see post #3 or #5.

If you want someone else's ID, see my post #4, or you can try #5 if the person has posted before. But since you need to get to their profile page to get to their posts, might as well just look at the URL there. Besides, they may not have posted before.

Hmm... Never seen an ID with decimals, or, for that matter, with that many digits. Where'd you get those numbers from?

Regardless, you can find someone by ID# by adding the number to the very end of the following:

http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=

For example, to look up your profile, I know that your ID# is 1895372, so I'd go to:

http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=1895372

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Use on of the following:

1. This online tool : http://www.csgnetwork.com/gpscoordconv.html (many others available)

2. fizzycalc : http://www.fizzymagic.net/Geocaching/FizzyCalc/

3. calculator. Take the decimals and multiply by 60. For example, 17.48140218 = 17 degrees and (0.48140218 * 60) = 28.884 minutes.
