grand-moff
I have been trying to help a friend load caches onto her HCx, but everytime I load direct from the cache page, when I unplug the unit the cache isn't visable. This seems to work fine on my Colorado so I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Can someone help me please. Cheers Grand-Moff. Quote Link to comment
StarBrand
Might it be that the newly loaded cache is not local?? By default the unit shows only nearby caches (waypoints) unless you select to show them alphbetically. Quote Link to comment
grand-moff
Thanks for the quick reply but no it was the closest cache to me. Quote Link to comment
Red90
Have you looked at all waypoints? The defintion of a cache on one of these units is based on the type of icon, which is user configurable. Quote Link to comment
Roland_oso
Thanks for the quick reply but no it was the closest cache to me. It may have been the closet cache to you, but where does the GPSr think it is? If the last time it was used was 100 miles away and it is not getting reception at the moment because of being inside, the unit still thinks it is 100 miles away. Quote Link to comment
poohisgreat
I have this unit. Did you make sure to "Set Up" geocaching first?? You have to do this first when you get the unit. Then you go to Find and Geocaching and they should be listed!! I have found a few under recent finds...but don't know why they ended up there!! Hope it helps a little. Quote Link to comment
