foxtrot_xray
Hey all. I'm working on the next version of my program NGSGPX. The main feature added will be allowing 'plugins' to export to different data types. (This is mostly for the few surveyors I had contact me wanting to know if I could export into a GIS database.) However, something occurred to me, and that was making the input type a plugin as well - so that, for example, a .LOC file importer could be written. I thought about this, and once I'm finished with the main program, I (or someone else, if they wanted) could write a plugin to import a LOC file from Groundspeak here, use it to pull active datasheets from NGS, and then export to one of the formats. Since in doing this it would require a bit of work on my end to make the plugin frame, I thought I'd get a shout-out here to see if anyone here that would use the pocket queries and search functions here on gc.com would use my program that way. (This would pave the way for an 'automated' loc downloading/gpx importer..) (And no, it would not 'scrape' gc.com's pages, due to their TOS.) Just wanted to see if it was worth my time. -Me. TillaMurphs
Since I don't understand most of what you said, I will just have to give you my general opinion of your program: It serves my needs as it is. (Wait - there must be an echo in here.) All kidding aside, it is a great program. It does everything I need it to. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
