"does that look out of place?" drives the wife nuts. Quote Link to comment
+Count Fartula
If i'm waiting/going some where with the wife or a friend i'll open the iPhone app to see if anything can be grabbed quickly. Quote Link to comment
+Coyote's Girl
Always. And I look forward to long car trips brcause "I haven't cached in (Insert state here) yet! Unfortunately, I'm "grounded" until I kick this bronchitis. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Not just looked - found around a dozen that way. Quote Link to comment
+Team Cotati
No, The Team has never done that. Sounds like great fun though. Quote Link to comment
knowschad
Not lamp post skirts, but hollow trees and such sometimes. However, it is pretty rare for me to be out in the woods these days and not be geocaching. Quote Link to comment
+Prime Suspect
"Ever look for geocaches when not geocaching" I'm pretty sure that's logically impossible. Quote Link to comment
WilliamTM
If I'm somewhere where I haven't found anywhere before, I'll pull out my iPhone and check if there are any, sure. If they're close enough and I have time, I might give it a go. Quote Link to comment
+KeeperOfTheMist
i've went Geocaching when not planning it if thats close enough.. park somewhere and glance at the gps and go hey theres a Geocache less then 200 ft from here, might as well go grab it.. Quote Link to comment
+bittsen
Even when I'm not geocaching I've seen hundreds of places that I think would be good for a geocache and then see, in here, that there is always someone who would object to it. See a large gap in a rock wall.. A lamp post in the middle of nowhere A bush all by itself in a public area A stop sign with a breakaway hole in the post. A guardrail with a view You name it. +popokiiti
We almost did today! It is a nano at a bus stop and we have had to abort the mission twice due to muggles being there before us. Today there was a bus there so we decided to wait a bit for it to spirit the muggles away. No such luck....it was layover time - the driver walked past where we were parked, leaving the bus and passengers at the stop. We keep our eyes open for spots for hides when we are out and about also..... Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
"Ever look for geocaches when not geocaching" I'm pretty sure that's logically impossible. You realize what you are saying is "Once a geocacher, always a geocacher". To the OP: Yep once. There's nothing like being 'in' on this whole geocaching thing. Quote Link to comment

Once you start "looking", you are geocaching, so how can you find a geocache without looking for one? Quote Link to comment

So you can't be looking for a geocache without engaging in geocaching. Quote Link to comment
+leejas72
I know me and the kids will be on our way to the store and see something that "should" be a cache...or pass ones that we've done and yell, "GEOCACHE" Once my hubby and I were at Subway enjoying a nice healthy lunch and he looked out the window and asked me if that rock looked out of place. LOL So I guess I'm always geocaching even if I don't have my GPS handy. Quote Link to comment
