Letterbox

Found a letterbox at I-20 62 Rest stop today but can't find it logged in the letterbox section. Can anyone help us with this? It's called The Gate Way or Star & Fish Gate or both. That was what was written on the inside of the log. Thanks!

Some geocaches are also letterbox hybrids. You can find and log those the hybrids on geocaching.com, but the one you found is a letterbox only.

Thank you both! We found it and it is part of a 2 part "series" so now my wife wants to go find the other one. We have enjoyed hunting for caches! Even all the aches and pains that go along with it.

Letterboxing has far less Guidelines, Rules & Regulations. You actually get to use "Common Sense", which is a rare commodity now-a-days. BTW and for the most part, no reviewers either.

 

The biggest advantage to Letterboxing over Geocaching is the fact that you don't have to go out and buy a 300 to 500 dollar gadget that tells you what to do and where to go and how to do it.

 

If you have the time and the interest, or you have "cached-out" your area, take the plunge and get involved.
