+ishtek
I am experienceing a problem when uploading field notes from my Garmin 550. Even though the box is checked to ignore field notes prior to the previous upload, I always end up with the previous days caches and the new caches that I am uploading. I cannot seem to identiy where the problem is and I have not been able to identify any posts from anyone else experiencing this same problem. Anyone have any ideas? +pppingme
They have been messing with time zone issues and how they relate to field notes time stamps recently, so I could see some room for overlap there. The best way to handle this is to delete field notes (or save them somewhere else on your computer if you want to keep them) after you've uploaded them. This is guaranteed to eliminate duplicate notes. Link to comment
+StarBrand
yup - I just delete the .txt file off of the unit after I am done uploading. The unit is smart enough to re-create it. Link to comment
+spymaxx
I noticed the same thing. However, when I use GSAK to receive data after adding the field notes to the website, GSAK removes them. The next time I add field notes, only the new ones are uploaded. Link to comment
