shiltonpig
similar type of question to my other topic....how many continuous hours straight in one day have you gone caching for? What is your personal best? Has anyone out there cached for more than 24 hours straight? Quote Link to comment
+Simply Paul
Sort of yes and no. In June last year I drove up from Newcastle heading towards Orkney, with the plan of parking in NE Scotland in the early hours to get some sleep before jumping on a ferry at noon. As it turns out I never got sleepy and cached at the English/Scots border, a couple in mid-Scotland (Monty Python film locations), several after sunrise around John O'Groats, and some more on Orkney before I eventually ran out of steam after stopping for food. 7am on the 20th to 10.30pm on the 21st makes 39.5 hours, but includes a lot of travel and other non-caching stuff. One long caching trip though! In terms of constant-caching trips, my limit is probably 18? hours/83? caches; I was after no records apart from my own PB. Quote Link to comment
+MartyBartfast
I don't really go in for marathon stints, the most I've ever done was on a section of the UK Mega series, I did about 18.5 miles in 7-8 hours, IIRC it was 51 caches which is my PB for most caches in a day. Quote Link to comment
