avroair
I see nothing that is geocaching related in this thread Fair trades. Would you be able to tell if they are fair trades? Or is the value mostly subjective? Is it the subjective value that leads to downtrading? Please share your opinion. Yes, over time I can tell... I fill my cache with a bunch of cool stuff and after 8 TNLN logs I find the cache is empty but the logbook and pen. Quote Link to comment
AZcachemeister
Not surprising that modern folk should have lost sight of the necessity of having a good cache, or trading fairly at someone else's cache. I'm not one to predict doom and gloom, but it may come to pass that these things will someday become important again. Quote Link to comment

Andronicus
I have to ask: Was 4wheelin fool high when starting this thread? Quote Link to comment
+Vater_Araignee
Heros for ghosts.Trading up. Hot ashes for trees. Potentially fair trade, younger trees are better at carbon sequestration.Burning an old provides warmth and room for several young trees. Hot air for a cool breeze. Up, hot air has more energy potential. Cold comfort for change. This can go either way, I for one would rather warm comfort over cold. Now I'll go read the thread. Quote Link to comment
4wheelin_fool
I have to ask: Was 4wheelin fool high when starting this thread? No. I haven't smoked dope in several years. They sell sticky purple salvia, K2,K3, and black mamba around here but since it's legal, that takes the fun out of it. Edited June 7, 2010 by 4wheelin_fool Quote Link to comment
+Vater_Araignee
I realized something about swag degradation. When I don't give a crap about what is in a cache, I don't find crap in a cache. Unless it is that crap that destroys the contents (read as logbook) of the cache. ~~~edit~~~ removed double typing caused by mental glitch. Edited June 7, 2010 by Vater_Araignee Quote Link to comment

+mchaos
I find my self less interested in swag, and more interested in trackables. They are almost always the only thing I take or leave lately. I do check out the swag to see whats in there. I seem to do it lately more for the hunt and the exercise. Quote Link to comment
+Snoogans
According to Buddhism, desire and ignorance lie at the root of suffering. Sounds reasonable to me... I trade up by completely emptying every cache I come across... I mean, what is a better trade then less suffering? According to Yoda; "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." Edited June 11, 2010 by Snoogans Quote Link to comment
