RedShoesGirl
i am taking my last 30 geocoins to an event in a week or so, 12 of which are trackable. do i make a list for people to use in discovery, or put a sticker under each coin with the tracking number — they are in one of those cool coin albums. i think it would be simpler to have the number under the coin so folks can see the coin and read the number without a microscope. how do you folks do event discoveries? rsg Edited January 16, 2010 by RedShoesGirl Quote Link to comment
+RifleMan81
I type out a list, print off several copies, and stick them in the binder with the coins. That way they don't have to write down all the numbers and possibly write down the wrong numbers. Quote Link to comment
+Howlingmoon
I always print out a list of the codes, with the name of the coin, and the date I added it to my collection (for those who have discovered my collection at past events, can go from that last date forward), and make several copies to keep next to my binders. I also give them the option of emailing me for a digital copy of the list so they can copy/paste the codes instead of hand typing them all in. I keep all the info in a spreadsheet in Excel. +LionsLair
attach a dogtag TB to the album and when cachers discover the album(TB) send them the coin codes through email...saves from having to update your coinlist or printing something out before every event... so much quicker and easier too... Cachers only need to write down one # instead of 30 or in extreme cases....400+ codes. Quote Link to comment
