+GeocoinGuy Posted February 7, 2010 Author Posted February 7, 2010 I'm sorry - I don't remint the LE versions (otherwise they wouldn't be LEs!) ~J Quote
+Howlingmoon Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) Received production photos this morning: Geocaching Virtues LE - Antique Copper Enjoy! ~J After seeing the picture of the final coin, I am VERY happy I reserved the AC. That's gorgeous, and even better than I'd expected. Thank you so much for keeping us updated and posting production pictures as you received them. Edited for rewording. +GeocoinGuy Posted February 7, 2010 Author Posted February 7, 2010 I'm very happy with how they turned out... and seeing the production process was very cool - although we didn't get photos of the ENTIRE process due to the upcoming CNY rush, the production facility has told me that will make sure I get complete production procedural photos on a future coin. I'm glad you like them! ~J Quote
+catsnfish Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I've enjoyed the photos and they are some great looking coins! Congratulations on a fine design, well executed! Quote
+Ruud4d Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 I'm glad I reserved the complete set They really look great. And a set of the new Canada Capital Cachers coin. I'm gonna be expecting a lot of coins from you Quote
+ice13-333 Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Oh sad that the copper one couldn´t be reserved as i placed my offer. It´s really the one i like most... Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 9, 2010 Author Posted February 9, 2010 Yeah.. the LEs are usually the first to go.. and they were gone the day the reservations opened ~J Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 Virtues are on the ground - and will be packed up and go out this afternoon! Woot! ~J Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 Here's the lot: These coins are INCREDIBLE (I'm not just saying that because I produced them) - I forgot that they are 4mm thick - and are carrying some serious HEFT.... I should have charged more ...I'm a packin' these babies now ~J Quote

+GeocoinGuy Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 (edited) I have 7 invoices that have not yet been paid - all through the reservation process... all have had 2 reminders sent when shipping data was received from the mint. So my question is: How long do I hold the reservations when no contact has been made? I'm asking this because these coins are GORGEOUS & HEFTY; additionally, these 7 reservations contain 13 LE Antique Coppers that I know will sell in a heartbeat if they were released to the general public. I started a thread posing that question... ~J Edited February 11, 2010 by GeocoinGuy Quote
+catsnfish Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I would think one more contact effort giving the reservation holder a deadline for response would be considered due diligence. The LE will sell in a heartbeat whether tomorrow or 2 days from now. Quote
+Where'sMyMarbles Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I've never made a coin, or dealt with reservations before this, but if it has been weeks, and you gave two reminders, I think you've made more than enough effort. Please keep us updated if they do become available! Quote

The LE will sell in a heartbeat whether tomorrow or 2 days from now. I agree with catsnfish. Give them a notice that they have to pay within the next 3 days or so and on the fourth day you announce here before you put them in the store. Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 I opened a new thread for this subject, but I appreciate the responses - Thanks! ~J Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 All paid orders have been put into the mail - Enjoy! ~J Quote
+Ruud4d Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 There's a fourth version ? There is a 4th version! How can we get that? Quote

+GeocoinGuy Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 Well.. I should have said.. I have 5 complete sets AVAILABLE.... Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 13, 2010 Author Posted February 13, 2010 For those who may receive their coins today, please be aware that if you choose to activate your coin(s), the icons have NOT yet been uploaded by Groundspeak - I just checked, and the coin symbol is still there. ~J Quote
+Ruud4d Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Well.. I should have said.. I have 5 complete sets AVAILABLE.... I already have a set ordered. And more then $ 50 for this coin is a bit to much for me. Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 13, 2010 Author Posted February 13, 2010 Yep - it's pricey - because the 5 I put up are the ONLY 5 Artist Edition I am offering with the sets - including the LE. ~J Quote
+tom4props Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 My Antique Copper Edition just arrived today! ... and there certainly is al lot of printed information packed into these coins! Just amazing! Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 Thanks Tom! I appreciate that. That is one of the reasons I went 2" on this coin, so all the info was RAISED metal and not screenprint. I guess that is another reason the coins are soooooo heavy! ~J Quote
+Ruud4d Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Yeah! I got my set in. No, not with an XLE Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 Yeah! I got my set in. No, not with an XLE I might just send you one anyway ~ ~J Quote
+geoquino Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 If you send the XLE anyway, I got the 3-set today as well. :-) Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 If you send the XLE anyway, I got the 3-set today as well. :-) Yeah, but I don't feel responsible in one of your geocoins being stolen an hour after having placed it in a cache, either! ~J Quote
+2Jeeps2Jacks Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Already spotted two on eBay. That was quick. We activated our gold one and kept the silver un-activated to trade. Quote
+hollora Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Just love this coin - and the copper - oooughhhh - so happy I got the set! Thanks GeocoinGuy! Quote

I figured, but I hope people are smart enough to to check my webstore prior to bidding too high for these coins - there are still Virtues available here. ~J Quote

You are not the one who stole it. It's just my bad luck. And if you sent the coin, I would feel embarrassed. Quote

ALSO ~ Keep your eyes on my webstore tomorrow at Noon US Pacific time - I sent out reservation cancellation notices today and I may have a few Antique Coppers in my store tomorrow! ~J Quote
+geoquino Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Well, my order was shipped on the 10th and arrived on the 17th. Sometimes the mail can be incredibly fast. Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 If you didn't notice, the icon selected for this coin is one directly from the coin itself - "Trade Even, Trade up". I chose it because its one of the highest principals that "I" personally hold. ~J Quote
+GeocoinGuy Posted February 20, 2010 Author Posted February 20, 2010 I just placed 6 LEs in the store - Limit 2 and I have held back 2. ~J Quote
