thepaytons
Found a "Semper Gumby" wooden coin in a cache today. It has (I'm guessing) a 3-digit serial number on it, so I thought I'd get on to try to find how to log where it is. But geocaching.com doesn't recognize it. The only "Semper Gumby" travel bugs are actual Gumby toys, not this coin with "Semper Gumby" around the top, an image of Gumby in the middle, and "See You Down the Trail" around the bottom. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+Howlingmoon
Tis probably just a signature item, not a trackable at geocaching.com geocoin or anything like that. The three digit number tis probably the "numbered" part of the item. There's so many made, and tis 1 of 100, for example. Hope that helps explain a bit. Quote Link to comment
+Droo
Semper Gumby is the username for a player with nary a find to their profile but it is the name used for Marine wives since 1775! A quick check also shows 21 usernames that start with Gumby so what you have could be swag or as Moonie said.... a sigitem, of sorts. Quote Link to comment

+Eartha
It sounds like a wooden nickle signature item. You will find more and more of those as you find more and more caches. They are a popular signature item. But it is not a geocoin. Quote Link to comment

Which most probably applies well to Marine wives!! Quote Link to comment
