So does Lackeys mean they lack something? Or is it an acronym like: Laughing At Crazy Kids Excites Yoda?

(just made that up...) :rolleyes::P

 

I've always accepted this dictionary definition: Someone who does menial tasks or runs errands for another.

It is not uncommon to take a word with a somewhat negative connotation and use it as a more affectionate reference.
