+Addihockey10
Hi there. To maximize geocaching.com performance, why don't the .gpx files include the attributes of the cache? It should be included somewhere in the description section; as gpses don't have an attributes section. How about we many "paperless caching" really paperless. ~Addihockey10 Link to comment
OpinioNate
This feature is coming soon - perhaps next Tuesday if all goes well. We had previously released a version of the .GPX which included attributes but did not give third parties (such as GSAK) adequate time to prepare. Link to comment

This time of the year I'd like to see if there are winter-attributes listed. Thanks. Link to comment

Had he known what was coming and the format of the new GPX extensions, I am certain Clyde could have had something working and ready to use the attributes when they came out. Link to comment

Actually, gsak didn't ignore them, they were stored and could be queried (via macro, not added to the user interface yet). The point being that certain people like to slam gsak, when there were in fact no problems. Link to comment

Had he known what was coming and the format of the new GPX extensions, I am certain Clyde could have had something working and ready to use the attributes when they came out. Actually Clyde knew the change was coming (as did at least some other developers) and did more than just ignore the attributes. ""Partial" support for cache attributes was added in build 33 Full support for cache attributes (Gui Filters, Macro language, HTML, etc ) needs full Alpha/Beta testing and will be added in V7.7 The partial support consists of GSAK recognizing the new GPX layout and storing the attributes in a seperate SQLite table. When you load a GPX file with attributes, GSAK will create a table called "Attributes" in your database." - Clyde of GSAK http://gsak.net/board/index.php?showtopic=...ost&p=89487 Link to comment

GSAK had problems with that version of the GPX file, not specifically with attributes. If I remember correctly, it had to do with reclassifying "puzzle" as "mystery", or the other way around. +fizzymagic
Did I miss the announcement from Groundspeak detailing the attribute values and their meanings? I am pretty sure they promised to give us a heads-up this time... Link to comment
