+JJTally
So, what geocaching stuff did you get? I am now a proud owner of a Garmin Oregon 400t. I am mad that the wind is blowing 45 mph or I would be out finding some caches! Merry Christmas ya'll. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Marmot winter hiking pants, which will make finding caches when the wind is blowing 45 mph much more comfortable. Quote Link to comment

+StarBrand
Brand new coat from Cabelas - But I'm still not venturing out : 12F + heavy snow + 40mph winds Quote Link to comment
Halfwaytothestars
I put the geocaching app. on my iPod and now I know why I couldn't zero in on a couple of caches. So far it's my favorite Christmas gift, albeit to myself. Haven't opened the gifts under the tree yet but those givers don't know about my new hobby. A sun hat would be nice for after-holiday shopping. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
A new desk chair. Quote Link to comment
jholly
A bunch of travel bugs, geocoins and travel bugs for the hiking sticks. Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
I am mad that the wind is blowing 45 mph or I would be out finding some caches! Merry Christmas ya'll. We're disappointed at your lack of dedication to the game. This will affect your platinum membership application. Just kidding! Nice Christmas gift. Hope you get a chance to play with it soon. I know I'm not getting anything geocaching related, so I bought myself a Garmin Oregon 300 around Thanksgiving Edited December 25, 2009 by Chrysalides Quote Link to comment
+bittsen
Pepper spray in a lovely pink camo holder. Fashion er safety first! I wonder if something like that would match my pink plaid flannel shirt? Quote Link to comment
+Ambrosia
Ok...the only things that were even remotely attached to caching: 8 gb memory stick 1 TB external hardrive (I take gazillions of pictures!) Really cool super duper stapler (think - nail gun) Cadbury Fruit and Nut candy bar (trail snacks!) Quote Link to comment
+tonya c
A Garmin Nuvi 500 to go along with my 60csx. Quote Link to comment
Chumpo
Garmin City Navigator and a 2 gig micro sd card. Quote Link to comment
+LandStar
A windshield mount for my PN-20! Yay! No more towels or tape or various random articles to try and keep the darn thing from sliding across the dash! Also, while out and about caching just before Christmas I found a pair of camo patterned jeans in the middle of a field. Apparently they had been used to create some sort of costume because the pockets were stuffed full of straw. Probably tossed by some kid after halloween. Soooo..FREE camo for some upcoming holiday caches! Quote Link to comment
+Hoosier Ranger
Lots of stuff: A pair of high, waterproof boots for hiking on the bayous and the often-flooded Bush Park, a Gerber knife with 10 contraptions for extracting those difficult logsheets, a pair of cammo hiking pants, and a new biking shirt with three pockets since most of my geocaching is done on a bicycle. Oh, and a for finding the "Happy Holiday" geocache on Christmas Day. Quote Link to comment
+Jeepster++
A new day pack. Quote Link to comment
+doingitoldschool
An iPod, so now I can once again listen to Sonny, Sandy and Sean whilst I geocache, and record the search on video Quote Link to comment
+BikeDH
I got a fake rock geocache and a couple pairs of jeans to use geocaching. Quote Link to comment
+lavender5215
I got 4 TB tags and my first premium memberhip upgrade! Quote Link to comment
+bunkerdave
and a partridge in a pear tree. (Sorry, couldn't resist.) I did get a new GPS - to replace the one the 400T that was stolen from my Jeep...upgraded to the 550T, along with the newly redesigned windshield mount. It's great...has a ball and socket joint like the one that comes with the nuvi, but the arm is also vertically adjustable (or laterally, depending how you choose to mount the suction cup, which by the way is a zillion times more reliable than that crappy one that came with both of my 60CS(x) mounts. Got a eddie bauer survival kit. Got a pretty darn nice day for caching - for Christmas. Sunny, about 30 degrees. Got Settlers of Catan (to give me my exploring fix when I'm not up to going out caching) Got 5 caches logged with my girlfriend, who let me download Geocache Navigator onto her iPhone (almost as good as getting one myself, but without the huge cell phone bill.) Got really ticked off at cachers who don't maintain their caches no matter how many DNFs get logged on them! Quote Link to comment
+SHCO531
Loving wife got me a Premium membership!! A Geocoin, a Geo t shirt, and a geo-waterbottle... Gotta love that girl!! Quote Link to comment
+GMartinTX
My geocaching related "present" arrived on the 23rd. An unexpected day off from work, 57 degrees, and the opportunity to take about a 2-mile hike, mapping out coordinates for 10 caches at an area state park/lake! Christmas Eve and Christmas were unbelievable, snowed in with 11" of snow/ice and paralyzed roadways! In north Texas, we aren't equipped to handle that kind of event, so the entire area was shut down. As soon as we thaw out and the snow melts, I can place the new caches. Quote Link to comment
+GeePa
I got an ammo can full of pill bottles. No I can go into a hiding frenzy! Quote Link to comment
+linuxxpert
Rock climbing shoes, chalk, containers, biners, glowsticks and even a sweater with the extreme caching logo embroidered..... life is good. Quote Link to comment
Bolivar Bill
Mrs. Bolivar Bill opened a package and found a set of coords that led to step one of a multi. She was the FTF and the prize was a shiny new Oregon 300! We had to do the family stuff yesterday so we're breaking it in today in spite of the 39 degree rain. Quote Link to comment
+Ad Locum
Garmin Vista Hcx. Hoping to find some geocaches this weekend. Quote Link to comment
+chrisrayn
This is kind of cheesy, but my girlfriend has been with me quite a few times when I've grabbed a night cache. Signing the log is always interesting, as I have to put my mini Maglite in my mouth to see the log, or hold my big maglite in my mouth. So... My girlfriend got me a REALLY NERDY HEAD-MOUNTED LED FLASLIGHT!!! It works great and speeds up night cache finding by about 20%, and reduces night cache headaches by about 50%. It was some kind of awesome of her to do that. PLUS, it takes AAAs for batteries, and I have a bunch of rechargeables leftover from when I switched to the 60CSx from the geomate! SCORE! +NYPaddleCacher
I actually got to out and find a couple of caches today, my first in a month an a half. I also got a set of prescription sports sun glasses. They'll come in handy on those bright sunny days we get in winter in upstate NY Quote Link to comment
+tlap
We don't go all out with presents for Winter Solstice, but I got 2 travel bug tags and some cache labels. I'm particularly excited with the travel bug tags because I have an idea for small felt sculptures that would make perfect travel bugs! Quote Link to comment
+webscouter.
I got an ammo can full of pill bottles. No I can go into a hiding frenzy! And if you hide that many micros you can probably get a lot more pill bottles from the cachers in your area. Bottles that once contained Prevacid or Acetaminophen. Just saying. Quote Link to comment
+ThePetersTrio
Pepper spray in a lovely pink camo holder. Fashion er safety first! I wonder if something like that would match my pink plaid flannel shirt? Wear it at the next GEOregon meeting and we can check. Quote Link to comment
+The Inkwell
A bunch of .30 cal ammo cans that I'll hide in the spring and a snuggy.... Quote Link to comment

+GMPARTSPRO
I got permission to go out and find as many caches I wanted to all day, it was great doing the downtown caches, since EVERYONE was closed. I could cache as unstealthily as I wanted. Quote Link to comment
+TeamAtlas
After much begging, my hubby got me a Garmin Nuvi 255W to use along with my 60CSx. He doesn't cache so he simply can't understand why I needed one since I have built-in nav in my SUV. And while it wasn't supposed to be caching related, I was given a very large lock & lock type Rubbermaid bowl at our church Christmas party. When I opened it, the first thing both my kids said was "a new cache container!" Quote Link to comment
+lisaaguilar
Well I technically got it before christmas, but my presents were a Garmin Oregon 400T and Premium Membership. What a great christmas!! Quote Link to comment
+dharma cache
I asked for a premium membership, but no one listened. I did get to find a cache on my way to my aunts. I might have to break down and get my own Christmas presnt! Quote Link to comment
+2beabout
I got a Nuvi 205W, a geocoin, an official geocache container (the scuba tank shape camo micro on a key ring), and enough money to pick up some nice ammo cans. Edited December 27, 2009 by 2beabout Quote Link to comment
