T-Shirt Slogans

I have a bunch of custom made T-shirts expressing the following sentiments:

"Film cans are to Geocaching, what Kudzu is to plants"

"Film cans: Geocaching's version of Spam"

"Ammo cans: The perfect antibiotic for the film canister virus"

"Asimov's Third Law of Geocaching: Film Canisters Suck... Period"

"Every Time You Hide A Film Canister, A Fairy Dies"

"Geocaching: This is what happens when nerds play outdoors"

"DNF happens"

"Geocaching: Pissing you off one film canister at a time"

"If you must hide a film canister, hide it in an ammo can"

"Film canisters: The velvet Elvis of geocaching"

"If hiding a film canister in a lamp post is your idea of geocaching, please take up knitting"

"Combat Micro-Spew... Hide Ammo Cans"

"Geocaching: Just one more reason to be questioned by the police"

"Geocaching: Getting geeks off the couch since May of 2000"

"To cache or not to cache... (What a stupid question)"

"All gave some. Some gave film cans. (Sigh...)"

How about "Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment."

Popular homemade shirts around here for awhile were:

G.A.S. = Geocaching Addiction Syndrome

&

G.U.I.L.T. = Grown Up Idiots Lookin' For Tupperware

I would actually offer up my own copyrighted geocaching slogan on an individual basis if you ask me personally (email) for permission to use it and you only make shirts for members of your own team and you do not sell them for a profit. I also want to know in your email how many you plan to make.

geocaching: Wayyy more chances to contract West Nile, or Lyme Disease than the average person.-Snoogans

I use the small g as in geocaching the verb, because Groundspeak holds the patent on Geocaching the noun. :D

Something like this?

Dragon, is that really a shirt that is for sale? If so I would love the website I could get them at. Not exactly what I wanted, but still very cool.

Just photo'd the can out front and photoshopped it with the text. Easy enough to do or change. Would be nice if I had a stencil to put OFFICIAL GEOCHACHING GAME PIECE on the side, though could do with PS, but think that would be cheesy.

edit: Now I think about it, you could just upload the image to CAFEPRESS and I think they'd make a shirt of it for you. Might cost a little bit, but you'd have your shirt.

Geocaching. Seek with Guidance from Above.

Thanks for this BTW, I used it as part of a puzzle for a church retreat this weekend. Each cache had one word on the log to make the phrase "seek mindfully with guidance from above" - which got them in the draw for either an MBGA 5th anniversary Geocoin or one of 2 other trackables.

I've seen one that said "I use multi-billion dollar satellites to find Tupperware containers in the woods. What do you do? Thats my favorite

Mine is something similar:

I use multi-billion dollar government satellites to find Tupperware in the woods. What's your hobby?

I added "government", removed "containers", and changed "What do you do?" to "What's your hobby"?

Well, I could fit all that on one of my t-shirts but you smaller guys and gals might have a bit of a problem!

I Photoshopped the stencil onto the ammo can, for no good reason. Just to see if I could. And because I'm trying to put off more important tasks.

Conducting research?

Haha, as Chrysalides noted my audit log took a pretty healthy jump!

You must have barely beaten the rain this morning...

I figure a few of your Terrain Challenges will present more of a challenge than the log, though as I know where you once lived I was able to make the connection I'm not sure others would.

As to Wooly Willy - It was raining until the turn off for San Andreas, where it was clear for a bit. Campground Host was going around opening gates and I thought about trying "Don't Look In The Trap Ray" again, but remembered there was your cache on the stairs, which seemed a less soggy path. It tipped down on me on the way back to the car.

The way things are shaping up I'm not sure I'll be doing any caches after work, unless they are sheltered, of which I can't think of too many right now.

Back on the original tangent... I wonder if the US Postal Service would object..

Neither Rain, not snow, nor gloom of night shall prevent these cachers from their rounds.

Several caching friends and I bought T-shirts from Walmart that

say "It's All Fun and Games until the Cops Show Up". We have

been questioned as to what we are doing from time to time and

the police officers get a great chuckle out of them. In fact, the

last time the police officer mentioned he'd love to have a picture

with that t-shirt! We informed him we had a camera and 7 of us

had our picture standing with him as traffic rushed by.

The shirts seem to make for great conversation on what could

initially be a tense moment but they've all worked out well!

Don't I know it. Just making it to the GZ on The LogJam of Doom is many, many times more dangerous than the log cache - not to mention having to actually negotiate the thing! And don't get me started on 'Off With Their Heads', ha ha.

Anyway, back on topic, I overheard this at a meet and greet:

Micros in the woods

Make the baby Jesus cry

Had some sad experiences with small caches in a certain hard-to-get-to park, even one which was a blinkie, of all things to have in the woods!

I have a couple ammo cans about ready to go and am eyeballing some of those big empty parks up Skyline ... :)

Heya all. This is an atrocious rendering in Photoshop, but you get the idea. Cleaned up, it might be cool:

rainbow_1.jpg

It could say something on the back like:

"The end of the rainbow really has McToys."

Or, have a 5/5 rating underneath it.

Or some other clever slogan.

Later!
