It is up to representatives of the organizations to maintain this thread as a list of links to the Geocaching Groups in Sweden. Please feel free to write a brief post about your geocaching group, giving its name, the area where most of its members live, and a link to the group's website, forums or mailing list. If your information changes later on, post a follow-up post.

Since none of the representatives has made any input to this thread in almost a year I feel obligated to contribute with links to two of the largest swedish geocaching communities that I know of.

The Geocaching Society of Uppsala (GCU) is a new nonprofit organization and its purpose is to:

 

1st promote interest in and promote knowledge of geocaching.

2nd work for greater social interaction and exchange of experiences between practitioners

3rd Make Uppsala an attractive target for Geocaching.

Hello, im here to tell you guys about a new geocaching community that we are launching. Its based around the area Lycksele & Umeå, and what we do is hide quality caches for people to find.

 

Whats in our cache? Our Florenzos Molotov Bullet, which is a silver plated bullet with a specialy designed top and finished with a 24 carrot gold pin. Also we could add a few other smaller things in with it. We are still a growing community, actually we probably arnt a community at the moment, but as people start joining we will grow.

For geocachers in the very Southern part of Sweden, Skåne/Scania, there is a local association available, including a local forum. Geocaching i Skåne can be found at http://www.geocachingiskane.se/ .
