It's almost Cachemas

Next week I have entirely off and I'm just burning with anticipation of all the caching I'm gonna do. Even entertaining schemes of placing a Cache Series - though I think I'd need about 24 medium size containers to do it. The days grind down to the weekend ever so slowly.

 

I've got a couple caches to do maint on, one replacement, the other TBD, then I'm off and running. Maybe a day in San Francisco or Marin. Finish the Monterey Bay 15 minute Quadrangle (so dadgum close!) and hopefully get out caching with the friend I started caching with.

 

So what caching plans do you have for the holidays?

Headed to Texas to cache San Antonio, Corpus Cristi, Brownsville, and then back up to Killean area. Can't wait.

Our local caching group is putting on a 12 days of cache-mas series, with a cache being hid everyday for 12 days with a clue in each one pointing towards a mystery cache to be published on December 25th.

last year, a few of us did a full Cachmas day of caching on Long Island. I am hoping to repeat that, other than that I too have a full week off and wonder if a road trip south is in order...

Just returned from Staples where I acquired a dozen note pads and a dozen pens.

Your lucky to be in a mild climate with that week off and geocaching in mind. I find my geocaching trails off in December because of holiday nonsense and weather.

In CT, we have two series of caches for the holidays, where a cache a day is posted with clues in them to the final.

Cachemas 2009

Grinchmas 2009 .

Both of these series are highly anticipated and enjoyed. Another area cacher has stated he has submitted 12 new caches geared around the song "12 pains of christmas".

Depending upon the weather (I live in SE Minnesota), I'm planning on going to Illinois to pick up the 5 EarthCaches near Peoria/Bloomington that I've yet to visit, then pad my #'s a little on the huge cache concentration in that fine part of the country.

Going to Georgia to stay with my family for a week. I'll probably place a cache while I'm there. Cachemas is a good title.
