+2ys4u Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Out exploring the Mittry Lake area with friends. Found a benchmark. But haven't found it listed anywhere. Has no numbers, but has BM, Dept. of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation,located at bathrooms on a sm. hill or viewpoint. And wouldn't you know it, no GPS with me--took a pic, but only other designation was MITT and unlawful to disturb. Can anyone advise me ? Only been doing doing this for a yr. , interested in benchmarks, but have only done geo-caches------until this benchmark bit me in the foot---- 2ys4u Quote

kayakbird Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Were you near Bettys Kitchen or between the tunnels on the Gila Gravity Main Canal? You should be able to pluck a Lat/Long from Google or a computer map program and search for something close in the NGS DATASHEET.
