+frogmama
I have an Explorist 210 thatI use as a backup. It goes on, but then within seconds the print becomes too light to read though I can see it is still there. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
+Pax42
Old GPSrs never die. They just lose their way . Sorry, I couldn't resist. Unfortunately I don't have a better answer than to just say it sounds like the display or backlight is shot and it's probably time for a new unit assuming the cost to replace a display is more than the 210's worth. +embra
That sounds like an unusual enough symptom that it might be time to say goodbye. Still, it might be worthwhile checking in with the Yahoo Exporist Users group to garner a few opinions there. Quote Link to comment
+cwhlam
It may be a problem with the contrast. Page 4 of the Explorist 100 manual <http://www.activegps.co.uk/gps-navigation/magellan-explorist-100/magellan-explorist-100.pdf> has a paragraph on how to adjust the contract. May be it would work on the Explorist 210 too. That sounds like an unusual enough symptom that it might be time to say goodbye.
