Oregon 300 GPX

Hi all

 

The last couple of times I have downloaded my latest GPX list and then searched by geocache it only shows the GC number and not the cache title. Previously it has displayed the cache name...I have an Oregon 300.

 

Any suggestions?

Did you copy the GPX file into the /garmin/gpx folder so they automatically show as geocaches (with all the information)?

When you open the Geocache menu the caches are displayed by either GC number or Name. Use the Options button to select which you want to display.

Have you tried the following setting on the Oregon?

 

Setup - Geocaches - Geocache List - Show Names

As this is an Oregon thread can I please ask another question? Can you charge rechargeable batteries in an Oregon (ie without removing them from the unit) if you use a charging unit like this or this?

 

Sorry it's such a numpty question but I'm only used to an Etrex where I have to charge the batteries extrnally and I'm hoping that Father Christmas can take a hint!

Unfourtunately, no. You will need to take the batteries out and charge them on a separate charger.
