Oregon 550 - spoiler photo's available?

I am considering the purchase of a Garmin Oregon 550 – I used to use a combination of the Garmin GPSMap 60CS and my Touch phone for paperless caching.

 

Does anyone know whether the Oregon 550 supports the download of spoiler photo’s, through the SpoilerSync application? I would like to continue using the SpoilerSync application on the Oregon 550.

 

Or is there another application available that I can use to get Spoiler photo’s from the geocaching website onto the Oregon 550? I am a Premium Member on the geocaching website.

 

Or do the Spoiler photo's automatically get downloaded when the 'pocket query' is saved to the Oregon 550?

 

Please let me know.

I was going to post exactly the same question when I found this previous non answered thread. Anyone with some info to share on this?

Get the freeware geeosetter and add the cache's cordinates to the picture. Then save the picture anywhere on your GPS or Card. When you are at the cache use the picture viewer. If you sort by distance it will be the first one. See the hint in http://coord.info/GC2P7HR for more info on georefrencing a photo.

Hans, I tried the Swiss software and find it satisfactory but with a big flaw: as the cache location it's exactly the same as the pictures location, you will not be able to select or view a cache by clicking on it in the map. This is because, being overlapped, the Oregon will always give priority to the picture.

doesn't a mini list box pop up to the right of the selected photo? Whenever I select overlapping waypoints I get a list box that I can select and choose which one I want. Maybe it doesn't work with overlapping photos. Hmm

No, unfortunately no. It would be a very nice touch to have an option to add some distance to the coordinates of each picture in order to avoid this.

I've mentioned that as well. If we know how Garmin is called that icon in it's firmware, we possibly could get rid of it with a Custom Symbol.
