+jeffbouldin Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 In a couple of weeks we are going on a numbers run. My mother purchased a Nuvi 255. I've learned how to load the POIs with GSAK. But is there a way to plan out a route so it automatically takes us to the next one? Or will I have to pick it every time? Quote
+ynotbloom Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 If I understand your question correctly, there is only one way to get the 255's to take you to more than one location. That is to use the VIA POINT option. You would enter the 2nd location you want to go to, then enter another location and add it as a VIA POINT (which will make it the first place the unit takes you). Aside from that, to my knowledge, Garmin has never come up with multiple point directions with thier lines of GPSr's. Quote
Motorcycle_Mama Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 The nuvi 255 does not have the capability to store routes on the unit. In addition, you will need to have a unit with the "optimize" function in order to be able to have the unit to automatically select the best route to the location. The nuvi 7xx, 8xx, and 5xx (as well as the Zumo line) have this functionality. Quote

Is there a limit on Via Points? We have about 125 mapped out. Quote
sagc Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Is there a limit on Via Points? I believe the 255 has a limit of only one via point. Quote
