Idaho Ron
I have an old version of mapsource TOPO and Roads and Rec. They have all the new updates. I am thinking about getting a new 60CSX. Can I load these on the 60 csx? If I can will they load on a micro card or internal memory? How does thiis work? Thanks Ron Quote Link to comment
Bob Morphew
The old Garmin maps work on the 60CSx. I use Roads & Rec, Topo, and Metroguide, as well as City Navigator, on mine. You can load multiple maps and then use Map Setup on the GPS to determine which one displays (if there is more than one map for the same region). The maps load onto the microSD card only. The internal memory is for the low-detail basemap, routes, waypoints and tracklogs. You can also record the tracks to a GPX file on the mSD and load Custom Points of Interest to the card. By updates, I presume you are referring to Mapsource updates - e.g. V6.13.7, 6.14.x, 6.15.7 etc - and not actual map data updates, as Roads & Rec is no longer available. I use it as it has the Forest Service road numbers and most of the other maps don't. Sometimes I have to switch between Topo, Navigator and R&R to match a road name with a paper map road name.
