Rating caches - a new way?

Not as far as I know.

 

I don't know how Groundspeak develop ideas, but if they want to look at area I guess they would do a forum search and come up with this thread (& numerous others). There's a diversity of views and no great consensus that either the suggestion is the answer, or that a system is needed (despite the moans about quality), or if there was a system, whether anyone would want to use it (unless it was compulsory) - usual geocacher perspectives I guess!

 

If you know of a way of making suggestions to Groundspeak and wish to do so - please do. I know rating systems have been discussed in other places (endlessly) and GSP haven't done anything to implement one so I assume they aren't particularly keen. If not a rating system, certainly expanding the attributes to reflect the type/purpose of the cache would be very useful IMHO. At the moment 80-90% of caches are Trads with only container size and a couple of other attributes to search with.
