If you buy this is it the same as the city nav? Plus Topo. You can route with it as you would a Nuvi?

I am not certain but am fairly sure that they are not routeable.

I recently bought the same for Colorado/Utah and yes, it is routable. You're gonna love it, especially if you have a 3D capable unit like the Colorado, Oregon or Dakota series!

The street routing on the California 24k works fine on my Colorado, the trail information is much more limited than what is on the topo 2008 so that was a disappointment. But if you don't have city navigator - and only need regional maps - it could be an attractive option.

Out of curiosity, are the trails routable? Topo 2008 is non routable, IIRC.

 

Of course, I'd rather have more non routable trails than a few routable ones...
