+Chrysalides
I was wondering how does geo caching.com create GC codes???? Each cache is uniquely identified by one of three things: 1. GUID : a 128 bit randomly generated number with certain bits fixed. 2. Geocache ID : a unique number that's sequentially given out when a new cache is submitted (even if it is not active / not eventually published) 3. GC Code. It's a direct mapping of the geocache ID to a code. Markwell has a good explanation of this. FizzyCalc can perform the mapping for you. Edited November 16, 2009 by Chrysalides Quote Link to comment
