I understand that these units came stock with a rechargable Li-ion battery and a AAA battery tray. What I'd like to know do you have to change settings (like in the menu) to use one or the other to power the unit? For instance....You're out hiking and you start out the day with the Li-ion battery. It dies mid-day and you break out the battery tray and AAA's to finish the trip. Do you have to "switch" anything in the menu or just pop in the AAA tray and go on your way? Thanks. You can put the Li-ion battery into the 500LE, but you have to buy the battery separately. You can find the battery on eBay. The Motorola t720 extended life battery will work as well (link to topic).
