+Six Little Spookies
I see the mint art for 3D designs and was wondering how you make sure the mint sculpts the coin in the way you want it to look. They just look like line drawings to me. Is that all you need to give them or is there additional artwork they need? Do you have to rely on their judgement and skill? 3D coins always look fantastic. How do they do it? Quote Link to comment
YemonYime
3D sculping on metal can be entirely hit or miss. You could get good artwork, or be faced with having to redo and pay another die fee...depending on if your project is assigned to an experienced 3D die artist, or a rookie. I've always said it's a huge advantage to have a good communicator working for you that can spell out all the details of how you want it done the first time. I've been fortunate in that the majority of my 3D projects have come back excellent. Quote Link to comment
