Cache Takers

Hey everyone, I just had a stupid question. Why is it that geocachers take caches? I have had 5 caches taken from an area, and it has to be a cacher. They even left a note. Just don't understand... Anyone have any theories?

I don't see any notes that can be construed as being from the cacher in question. I do see a string of DNFs from the same cacher that mentions the possibility of them missing but it does not mean that cacher did a thing.

You always have people out there that get their thrills from messing with others or just being plain old nasty in general.I've had a couple of caches muggled, but I have found caches by others that someone has found and just wrote some very nasty and vile comments into the log just to be mean.Unfortunately, you will always have those type of people around...you just have to ignore that type of stuff.

Usually it's from some real or perceived slight or insult. They are looking to get a reaction so they know they are 'getting back' at someone or the community.

Best thing is to ignore them. The more uproar they can cause the more they will keep going. If their actions have no effect they'll move on to some other angst.

Just a guess........

Judging from the geomap of this area, somebody either has something against you (and they are close to your placements), or somebody (local neighborhood) has a problem with geocaches in their neck of the woods.

Yep. No doubt you specifically are being targeted, and all the caches seem to be within 1/2 mile of each other. Judging by your confusion on the matter, I assume there have been no little battles between yourself and any other local Geocachers?
