+Crafty Turtle
What is the physically largest cache container you have come across? Briefcase sized? Garbage bin sized? Fridge sized? I don't mean where an ammo box was placed inside an old fridge, I mean where the cache itself was that big. Quote Link to comment
+niraD
The first cache I found was a plastic footlocker, and I haven't found one that large since then. But I've seen photos of larger caches in the CCC thread. Quote Link to comment
+Crafty Turtle
How do I find the CCC thread? I can't search for 3 letters. Quote Link to comment

+Crafty Turtle
Thanks. Yeah, I've seen that thread. There a couple of bigguns in there, but a lot of micros also. I'm after practical ideas for large caches in public places, and was wondering if ppl had found/made some. Quote Link to comment
+Cache O'Plenty
The largest "public" cache I've found was in a 12" corner post. It was 5 feet long and 10" in diameter and was attached to the post cap by a chain. Post was about 7 feet high so the cache had to be lifted straight up to a height of 12 feet before it would clear. And it was HEAVY!!! The more remote "large" cache was an ammo can that was 2'x3'x4' (yes, that feet dimensions). It located under a palm tree whose fronds were never trimmed. Remote - sort of. Right next to the freeway but not easily accessible. Edited October 16, 2009 by Cache O'Plenty Quote Link to comment

However, it is not the biggest by any stretch of the imagination. Quote Link to comment
+Dread_Pirate_Bruce
The biggest cache I ever found was GC1R6TV. You can actually see the cache container itself on Google Maps! In fact the container is so big that finding the log sheet within it can be somewhat of a challenge. Quote Link to comment

+Crafty Turtle
I particularly like the ones that are micros blown up to be HUGE! Some people put in a lot of work on those. I'm impressed. Quote Link to comment
