Question about car power for 60CSx

I lost the little spring that was inside the car power supply for the Garmin 60CSx.

The fuse I replaced but it's making poor contact without the spring.

 

I tried to improvise and borrowed springs from several pens to no avail, the contact is intermittent, constantly cycling shore power/battery with that annoying beep.

 

Any idea what that spring is and where can I get it or what I can use to duplicate it?

You should be able to pick one up at your local Radio Shack. You may have to buy a replacement cigar lighter adapter and remove the spring. Take yours with you and try a few. Works every time...

Tried a few springs from ball point pens, nothing works. Borrowed one from another power supply, it kind of works, but goes on/off constantly. What a POS. Will have to get another one.

I use the usb power cord for my Razr cell phone since it's in the car anyway. I do not use the Garmin pwr cable with the 4 pin connector.
