polygons map

Hi,

I’m new to GPS. I just got a Garmin Oregon 400t. Is there a way to draw line polygons (marking public hunting areas) on Google Earth and then convert the polygons to a map that can be download to the GPSr?

The polygon map will be viewed as an overlay on a topo map.

help needed please:

I followed the tutorial in 'GoogletoCustomGarminMap.wmv' (above link by rws). Everything works OK except two issues I would like to resolve:

1. I need yellow and red color polygons? These colors don’t exist in GPSMapEdit Types. Is it possible to create a custom “Type” in GPSMapEdit?

2. On GPSMapEdit properties, I selected “Transparent” but on the GPS the polygons are not transparent. Is it possible to polygons transparent so I can see the train features of the topo map underneath? If not, is there a way to show only the polyline in a custom color/line thickness?

Thanks
