LordEd
Recieved an HTML newsletter today. Looks good, but there is a problem with the recent cache links on my edition: Recent Geocaches... * Black Mountain Wetland (Traditional Cache) on 26 September 2009 by Canada4Life. 2.62 mi SE. Links reported are: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC1GAMD and http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=95...66-11ae829302c1 However, this cache is actually GC1Z4EB (the newsletter links to a cache in arizona) and the user profile reports that it doesn't exist (actual is http://www.geocaching.com/profile/Default....0-61baf9cf79c3). I tested several cache links and all of the ones I sampled are mixed up (wound up in the netherlands on one). Link to comment
OpinioNate
Can you please forward your weekly emailer to contact@geocaching.com? Customer Relations will be expecting it. Thanks. Link to comment
LordEd
Additional Info (if relevant): - Received and viewed the email at gmail.com - Event and mega-event links seem to work fine. Email forwarded. Link to comment
LordEd
One other observation. I don't have a previous newsletter to verify, but I believe I was previously getting distance units in km. The current one seems to be in miles. Link to comment
+nittany dave
I really like the format but I'm seeing the same issues. Not just with the recent caches, but with the cache owner links too. Some point me to the wrong cache, others point me to caches not published yet and users not found. Link to comment
+nittany dave
The old version used to list the state that an event was in but the html newsletter does not. Not a big deal, but it was handy. Link to comment
OpinioNate
Thanks for the feedback you guys. Ed, we received your emailer but the links were gone. Ex.: - Turner Road Switchback View (Traditional Cache)on 20 September 2009 by luvthekootenays. 75.35 mi NE. - Adam's Isle (Traditional Cache) on 29 August 2009 by dtprice. 76.95 mi N. - Shuswap - Malakwa Suspension Bridge (Traditional Cache)on 08 August 2009 by chase_bc. 77.25 mi N. - Fat Quarter Cache (Traditional Cache) on 27 September 2009 by GramR. 91.41 mi SE. What happened? Maybe it would work better as an attachment. Thanks again. Edited October 8, 2009 by OpinioNate Link to comment

+GraKez
Yes, the old one had both Miles & Kilometres on the news letter, maybe a new preference could be added so cachers could receive the news letter with distances relevent to their country/location? thanks PS: The layout looks great !! +SKILLET
I really like the format but I'm seeing the same issues. Not just with the recent caches, but with the cache owner links too. Some point me to the wrong cache, others point me to caches not published yet and users not found. Same problem here, Clicked on a new Cache that I hid and it showed one in West Virginia. Clicked on a Profile link and it said no profile available.??????????? Link to comment
+Lil Devil
I'm getting the newsletter in plain text, and am seeing the same problem, so it's not limited to the html version. Link to comment
OpinioNate
We have halted the emails for the time-being. We'll resend them again when the problem is corrected. Thanks. Link to comment
+DENelson83
One other observation. I don't have a previous newsletter to verify, but I believe I was previously getting distance units in km. The current one seems to be in miles. I agree. The distances used to be in kilometres, now they're in miles only. My brain cannot handle any units other than SI. Please put those distances back to kilometres. Link to comment
LordEd
Does this count as a FTF bug? Link to comment

OpinioNate
The problem was fixed and the newsletter will be re-sent momentarily. There are many so please be patient. We have also sorted out the mi/km issue. If you have metric units chosen in your account settings, the listings will display distance in kilometers. Link to comment

+dartcache
I like the new Layout and the fact that it is HTML. You find what you want in no time. I just miss the [GSP] in the E-mail title. Do you add that again? Link to comment
