first cache, first travel bug

Just placed my first cache, with my new travel bug in the forest. But how do I place the travel bug in the cache on this site?

yes its activated. and it got its own page and so on.

It should be listed in your inventory. Go to the cache page for the cache you want to leave it in. Select the "write note" log type.

 

At the bottom of the page you should see a box with your trackable inventory. Highlight the appropriate trackable and submit your log.

 

If your log is simply a bug drop log please delete it as they contain no important information and generally make the cache page untidy.

In addition to the good advice by Knight2000, you should also be aware that you can complete this drop (for you OWN cache) either before or after the cache is actually published. (If it is not you own cache, you must wait until after it is published.)
