Oregon waypoints - where? transfer?

Hi

I can't find where the Oregon stores its waypoints.

So I can transfer waypoints to the Oregon from the computer but can't transfer waypoints that I've created with the Oregon back to the computer.

So when I'm walking though I can transfer the track back to the Oregon, all those useful little waypoints like "Good pub here" can't be accessed on the computer (though I can still access them on the Oregon.

Can anyone help?

Hi

You should be able to do this via the Mapsource software that came in the box with your garmin.

start the program, connect you device, wait for it to be recognised and click the upload from device button.

Excellent - that will teach me I use Memory Map most of the time!

Is there an accessible location, for waypoints, on the Oregon directly?

All your current tracks, waypoints and routes is here /garmin/gpx/current/current.gpx

550 series has them (newly added) all separated on Garmin\Gpx

400 they seem to all be mixed together in the file current.gpx
