Oldest Active Cache...

Is there a way to find out or does anyone know the Oldest Active cache out there in the U.S. I recently found a cache placed 2-22-01, GC33A. It got me wondering what the oldest cache is and how awesome it is to have a cache remain active after so many years.

The oldest active cache is Mingo in Kansas, May 2000.

I was just browsing down this list (which I've seen in the past) and noticed something...

 

I'm pleased to report that "Bray Head - Europe's First GC43" is not archived. It's still there, under it's original GC number, although it has been moved a short distance from its original location.

I have a feeling about one of the oldest in Washington and will go check on it hopefully before winter sets in, if not, next spring to see if it's still there. It's been archived for years, but I have a feeling about this one...

Unfortunately, even if it is there, the no adoption unless initiated by the CO guideline, it'll remain archived unless Groundspeak makes an exception.

There are bookmarks for both the oldest caches in each state as well as the oldest active caches in each state in my signature.
