+Shorelander Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 My brother and one of his friends recently took a trip up to Baraboo, Wisconsin, to see a large sculpture park. One of the sculptures he found is called a Juicer Bug. He took photos of its eyes for me, because they're made of survey markers. I thought I'd share. They all look unstamped and unused - in fact, many seem to be improperly made, and I assume that the artist went to a survey marker manufacturer (perhaps Berntsen, as they are in Madison) and obtained their discards. Anyway, here are the photos! (Click any for a larger photo) The eyes are made of survey markers, although it's hard to see. Quote
+Black Dog Trackers Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I'm guessing they were purchased from a disk supplier's reject pile. Quote
TillaMurphs Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Shorelander, That's a great picutre. Thanks for sharing. Quote
+TheBeanTeam Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Shorelander, That's a great picutre. Thanks for sharing. Very interesting place. I want to visit. Obviously your brother knows about your interests. Quote
+Ernmark Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 BDT - can he waymark those disks........individually? Quote
+Black Dog Trackers Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I don't know, I think it would be more entertaining to have a geocaching micro behind each disk! Quote
AZcachemeister Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I don't know, I think it would be more entertaining to have a geocaching micro behind each disk! Nahh...proximity issues! Only one of the micros would have the logsheet. Better yet, make it a puzzle, and the clue is part of the stamping on the correct disk. Quote
+DonB Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I don't know, I think it would be more entertaining to have a geocaching micro behind each disk! As long as it's 528 feet from the one that's already there. Quote
AZcachemeister Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I don't know, I think it would be more entertaining to have a geocaching micro behind each disk! As long as it's 528 feet from the one that's already there. It figures. Bad on us for not checking first, but it IS too cool a place to be without a cache, eh? Quote
