cinderblox Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I mistakenly logged a TB find in the wrong cache page. I cannot figure out how to "remove" the mistaken log and "place" the TB in the correct cache page. Suggestions? Quote

But if you have no longer have the tracking number for it, you can't "pick" it back up. Maybe you can contact the owner of the TB and let him/her know what happened. They may be able to help. Quote

If you go to the TB page, click on "found it log it", then in the tracking number box do a double left click you might get a 'drop down' selection of 6 tracking numbers that you've most recently used in that box. (MrB, the more techie one, tells me most PCs will do this. It's worth a try, anyway.) If this doesn't work and you're not able to go back to the cache to get the TB number, then put a note onto the cache page and onto the TB page explaining your error and stating where the TB is actually placed. Then contact the owner and hopefully they'll give you the tracking number so you can re-log the TB into the correct place. MrsB ... and, by the way, it's a very common error that most geocachers manage to make at some time in their geocaching lifetime so don't feel too bad about it. Yep, we've had to do this once. Retrieved a TB & dropped it off in a cache on the same day forgetting to write down the tracking#. Luckily, my hubby didn't mind going back to the cache. Quote
