+blackjohnson
My Colorado has been freezing when exiting my vehicle. The compass does not function nor does the red arrow direction line on the geocaching page. If I shut the unit off and power back up, it's ok again. What is going on here??? Thanks for any help on this one! Quote Link to comment
+GeekBoy.from.Illinois
It sounds like your compass is still disabled from the "Auto" feature. In some of the newer beta software releases on the Oregon, it would take up to 90 seconds before the compass would turn back on. It sounds like you might be seeing this behavior with your Colorado because you are just too quick to get out of your car and the movements are too small for the GPSr measurements to think you are moving. I see similar with my Oregon if I am in a rush... Quote Link to comment
+alanfreed
If you haven't already done so, try updating to the newest firmware. Version 3.0 just came out the other day, as described in this thread. It might help take care of some of the weird things these units have been doing. I updated mine, and so far I haven't seen any new weird things Quote Link to comment
