+kissguy&frannyfru
what is the meaning of the term sandbagging? is it when someone intentionally signs a log but waits a few days to log it? if so what purpose does this serve and why is it done? not fussing about it being done just curious as to why. +BlueDeuce
Sandbagging means someone who intentionally underperforms. We always used the term in bowling league where your handicap score was based on how much you improved over the season. People would intentionally play badly at first so they would start with a better handicap. Lousy sandbaggers! I suppose it could be applied to someone who went out and grabbed a first to find but wouldn't log it on line so people would assume it hadn't been found yet and rush out to grab it. +flask
in bike racing, it's people who enter races a division below their ability so they win more prizes. might could mean a cacher who pads their counts with 1/1 caches. Quote Link to comment
