+ECplus3 Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Hello all! I am hosting my first geocoin event here in the Maritimes for all the locals who couldn't make it out to SLC in October. Heck, even those who did make it are invited to come! This is just a small get-together of local collectors and cachers eager to show off their latest trades and purchases and to proudly display their prized collections. Local coin vendors will be in attendance as well. The event is called COINUCOPIA! A GEOCOIN EXHIBITION (GC1Y3XF) There is some small cost in hosting this event at the local library, so I am asking for coin donations for the silent auction to cover those costs. Once the room fee is covered, all additional money made off the silent auction will be donated to the Maritime Mega Organizing Committee for our upcoming mega event next July. If you would like to donate a coin, please contact me through my account email. I will post to this thread what I receive for the event and will keep you updated on what is raised. Thanks in advance for your consideration! And if you're in Halifax later this year, keep this event in mind! It will be just an hour after WWFM VI! PS: Of course there will be a coin Quote

The event is on Nov 14th (can't believe I didn't mention that in my original post!). If I get them well in advance, then I can get all the sheets set up for the auction table without having to scramble at the last minute. Quote
+ECplus3 Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 I've got the coin art from the mint. Quote
+anne.and.eli Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 That's looking great! I hope you are planning to do a version in gold or copper, as it would play off the colors you've chosen quite nicely. Quote

Just a sidenote, but guess you couldn't have anything but a silent auction since the event is at the library Quote

+ECplus3 Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 I would like to thank everyone who donated coins for the silent auction! We had coins from local cachers, cachers across Canada, from the USA, and even from Europe! You helped to raise over $200 for the Maritime Mega 2010!!! Sales of the event coin raised over $300. There are still plenty of event coins left! Quote
