COINUCOPIA! A Geocoin Exhibition

Hello all!

I am hosting my first geocoin event here in the Maritimes for all the locals who couldn't make it out to SLC in October. Heck, even those who did make it are invited to come! This is just a small get-together of local collectors and cachers eager to show off their latest trades and purchases and to proudly display their prized collections. Local coin vendors will be in attendance as well.

The event is called COINUCOPIA! A GEOCOIN EXHIBITION (GC1Y3XF)

There is some small cost in hosting this event at the local library, so I am asking for coin donations for the silent auction to cover those costs. Once the room fee is covered, all additional money made off the silent auction will be donated to the Maritime Mega Organizing Committee for our upcoming mega event next July.

If you would like to donate a coin, please contact me through my account email.

I will post to this thread what I receive for the event and will keep you updated on what is raised. Thanks in advance for your consideration!

And if you're in Halifax later this year, keep this event in mind! It will be just an hour after WWFM VI!

PS: Of course there will be a coin ;)

See what I can do for you Chuck, OGA coins are coming but maybe a COG would be better, we'll see. When do you need these for, oh I've checked flight schedules too  that down eastern hospitality is hard to beat

It would be nice if I could get them by Nov 1. The event is on Nov 14th (can't believe I didn't mention that in my original post!). If I get them well in advance, then I can get all the sheets set up for the auction table without having to scramble at the last minute.

I received three packages this week with donations for the geocoin event! ATMouse, TeamEccs21, and DrNeal all sent amazing coins. Thanks so much for your help!!

ATMouse also sent a stack of Geobash wooden nickels, and DrNeal sent one of his chiro-cache coins to be discovered and released.

Another package came in last week -- this time from kini_ont. I am going to be really sad to put these ones up for auction! I'll have to try really hard not to cheat and throw in a bid AFTER I've collected the auction sheets!

I received two more donations yesterday. The first was a package from Chickahominy with three great coins, and the second was a pair of coins handed to me by Sally6 at last night's event.

Special thanks to Landsharkz who are providing door prizes and other goodies!

The event geocoin is now available on my website, although coins purchased will not be shipped until after the event.

I would like to thank everyone who donated coins for the silent auction! We had coins from local cachers, cachers across Canada, from the USA, and even from Europe!

You helped to raise over $200 for the Maritime Mega 2010!!!

Sales of the event coin raised over $300.

There are still plenty of event coins left!
