campermama
Hi All, I have a Garmin 60CSx, love it! I just figured out how to make a route (on unpaved roads) on the topo maps in MapSource. I ride a quad off road. The problem is, the route loads to my GPS but will only show as a straight line and not follow the unpaved roads as it does in MapSource. I made sure all the settings in my GPS match the settings in MapSource. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the help!! I am using Topo US 2008 SPower Quote Link to comment

campermama
Topo USA is not routeable. It worked in MapSource, but not on the GPS, that doesn't make sense. Quote Link to comment

Bob Morphew
It worked in MapSource, but not on the GPS, that doesn't make sense. You must have had a different map selected in Mapsource as Topo USA 2008 does NOT do "Follow Road" routing, either in Mapsource or on the GPS. It will only do Direct/straight-line routing. Yes it does, if you go into preferences and routing and change the settings, I got it to route on the unpaved roads from one waypoint to another. Just can't seem to get it to do it on the GPS. +Redwoods Mtn Biker
I can't duplicate this behavior. Are you sure you aren't using a Garmin 24K map product? Quote Link to comment
