When given enough notice, I plan to organise events wherever I'm off to, as a focus-point for cachers in the area. I travel a fair bit in Europe, but sadly usually at pretty (too) short notice. Enjoy your trip

good idea! I'm in sunny Dumbarton from 15-17th next week, but too short notice to organise an official do, especially as I'll only know if I'm being called on the 10th...

Sadly i normally go out to Tenerife June and November and i have my own cache out there called Montana Amarilla.

Last year on a trip to Sweden I had a spare day and hosted an event in Stockholm. I used the local forums to aid the organisation and locals to help translate the event page. It turned into a successful event and I then spent the rest of the day/evening with local cachers showing me around and the best of the Stockholm caches!

Its well worth the effort!
