luke4it
What gps' store .gpx files on the SD card versus the internal memory. I know the Colorado 300 does, but am not interested in that gps. Quote Link to comment
+Surferjo
My old explorist does. My new Triton's do not. Im pretty sure my buddy's eTrex Vista HCx does also. Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
You can put .gpx on an Explorist or a Vista HCX in much the same way you can put Quicktime Movies, MP3s, or Autocad files - just don't expect those units to *understand* GPX files thusly written. Colorado, Dakota, Oregon, and certain members of the Lowrance (Endura?) lines understand GPX well enough to grok a pocket query dropped into them. Quote Link to comment
+Surferjo
To clarify, I can store caches on the SD card in my Explorist. To get them there I have to upload the GPX file using the Geocaching Manager application through my Explorist to the SD card but in the end the Caches reside on the SD card. Quote Link to comment
+allory
All of the Garmin 60, 76, and eTrex series which use a microSD card have the option of saving the track log to the card as a .gpx file. That file can only be used by off-loading it to a computer, it is not viewable on the receiver. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
Any "modern" Garmin based on the Nuvi OS. Nuvis, Oregons, etc.... Quote Link to comment
+maxsportable
I can vouch for the Garmin Oregon 400t. We have 2 we use for geocaching. Acording to Garmin tech support (not me) you can store/download gpx files to cards but you can not open them on the unit. GPX files are not accessable for the unit to read off the card. You can read GPX FROM the SD with a X00 models Oregon You cannot with a 550 Oregon Edited August 29, 2009 by splashy Quote Link to comment
+Indotguy
The Lowrance H20 C accepts GPX files although it is not an advertised function. Quote Link to comment

I thought I had lost a ton of tracks, only to realize later that two years worth were on the card in my 60CSx! I greatly appreciate this feature now. Quote Link to comment
