Jester1970
A few queries. This is my first touchscreen GPS. Can I fit a screen protector to it? Also, is it WAAS enabled? Do I have to activate WAAS, or is it done as standard? Quote Link to comment

Goto Setup, System, and select WAAS. Bill Quote Link to comment
+Chris & Renee
Definatly would not go anywhere without a screen protector fitted, heard horrible storys of cracks and scratches without one and the cost to replace a screen is not cheap. Quote Link to comment

+g-o-cashers
I use Zagg protectors on my Oregons and they make the screen a little "tacky" but I find they really do protect the screen. You will scratch the Oregon if you use it with dirty fingers and because the 550 has a much glossier plastic touch screen cover you'll notice it a lot more. http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com for more tips, tricks, FAQs, etc on the Oregons. -Scott Quote Link to comment
+Tahoe Skier5000
I use the Garmin slip case and a screen protector I bought at walmart, made for an iphone. I cut it to shape and it works fine. Picture here By the way, the slip case is awesome. It is well worth the money in my opinion. Edited August 24, 2009 by Tahoe Skier5000 Quote Link to comment

I wonder if the original link will work for you because maybe you're logged into the photo site, and maybe others aren't and can't access the image? Just a guess. Quote Link to comment
Jester1970
I'm having a bit of trouble here. I use memory map and quo mapping software, but the GPS doesn't seem to be recognised by either. I can download photos from it, but otherwise I can't send routes or waypoints to my maps. It's currently set on Garmin Spanner. Is this correct? Edited August 25, 2009 by jester2005 Quote Link to comment
