+GeekWill
When i went on to the geocaching website to create a virtual cache that i had found cordinates for, i went to the select cache type and looked for virtual caches but could not find them. Could someone explain to me why this is? Quote Link to comment
+butrflybec
Because virtual caches aren't allowed to be created anymore. Check out the Waymarking website. Edited August 11, 2009 by butrflybec Quote Link to comment

Could someone explain to me why this is? The first step in creating a cache is to read the guidelines. Guidelines that Apply to Grandfathered Cache TypesVirtual Caches and Webcam Caches These are special categories of caches that ask the seeker to find a pre-existing item to log. We are no longer accepting new Virtual Caches or Webcam Caches. Caches which existed before November 2005 have been allowed to remain as grandfathered caches. Quote Link to comment
+9Key
The first step in creating a cache is to read the guidelines. I think there could be a huge flashing banner at the top of every page on the web site and people would still ask about virtual caches. Quote Link to comment
