+Jumpin' Jack Cache
National Public Lands Day is held annually. This year it is September 26. For the past 3 years our local geocaching group has helped at a local lake with trail projects listed as CITO events. As a result, the local Corps of Engineers office is very geocaching friendly and we have trails where caches are welcome. They provided a few basic guidelines and asked that we let them know when we want to place a cache, not a formal permit system but they do need to know where & what they are. The usual response when we ask is along the lines of "Thanks!". There is a lot of land managed by the USACE all over the country, maybe more of us could coordinate efforts like this. It's always nice to know that the caches you are hunting have been approved by the land manager. Quote Link to comment
