+swizzle
I'm sure this thread has been done before but let see some cool pics from GZ and the surrounding area. Wild critters, beautiful vistas, strange muggles, anything that you would consider cool or interesting. Here's some of mine. The Bird Watch cache is one that I have almost ready to go. +swizzle
I think CCL and some of these others should be combined into one post and pinned. I think these pics are awesome. Swizzle Quote Link to comment
+Knight2000
Sounds good. I hope you have high speed... My son actually wore this to a cache. It was part of his astronaut uniform. (I think without the helmet and pack he looks more like an oompa loompa, but that's just me...) Defunct roller coaster sitting for 31 years... One of many abandoned buildings... I love Hello Kitty! We always stop at the playgrounds when a cache is there. I always liked this one too. Quote Link to comment
+hudsonfam
Seeing all these amazing photos (I followed the links to the other threads, too) is giving me location envy! lol We haven't attempted any rough terrain since we're still very new at this, but we'll be in Phoenix in one month and we're so excited about hunting for caches and seeing the beautiful sights we're chomping at the bit! We're trying to get in lots of practice here at home before we go but so far it's been more urban cache finds. I think it's time to start expanding our search options. Quote Link to comment
+swizzle
With all these AWESOME pics we're seeing why the heck isn't Groundspeak hosting a pic contest? I for one love all the pics on the geocaching homepage but most of them are repeated over and over. Come on!! Host a contest for goodness sake. Give away a geocoin or two and a couple TB's, maybe some gear. The winner gets to have their photo on the geocaching home page for a month. That sounds cool to me and I think with a little incentive there'd be a lot more people stepping forth with even better pics. Allow 1 pic per person and have us vote on the winner. Have pic catagories every month, vistas, statues, funny, critters, unusual, wildflowers, waterfalls, lakes, mountains, ect. Lets have something going on here. +GIDEON-X
This is a old one (January 2005). Jim and myself where having our AM coffee, and talking over a few local caches..........GCMG6T had been posted the night before, so we said why not. It's a 10 mile drive from our coffee place, as I pulled into the area there was a truck that I was familiary with (yep JJ's) and he was already on top of the knob............well it's a 45 minute trek up the north side, when we got to the top and checked with JJ he said he could not find it........so we alll started to search (the top area is not all that big).......as the three of us searched another fellow showed up and he joined in the looking. 30 minutes we decided to call it a DNF......... As it was the cache had not been put in place when it was published - Oh Well all in a days caching (I Guess) The Pic Shows Mexico to the south, note the dark line on the left of the pic (The All American Canal) this is the Boarder. Note the jackets....yes it does get chilly here in the Desert SouthWest!(Jan. 2005)Also the "Old-Man Sticks.....not so much coming up, sure save the strain on the knees going down (Braking) Quote Link to comment

A little after-dinner stroll from the campground below. On the way to a DNF in Nicaragua: (Groundspeak, could you please repair the order of pictures in a cache log? I'm trying to tell a story here...) Utterly fake, but ingenious: Thanks to Scratch_ for the sticker. Quote Link to comment
