Strange. Is there a fix for this problem? Ok on now I have narrowed the problem down to the memory card. I thought that the back was pushing the card in and out but it appears to be fine. When I removed the card (1G micro sd). By the way how do I tell if the card is recognized by my gps? I am also wondering if I lost any maps loaded on my card. Let me know what you all think. +Corey
Read the thread about the latest software update. I will guess that you are running 3.00 on the eTrex and using a Mac? Quote Link to comment
sagc
By the way how do I tell if the card is recognized by my gps? If it's the same as my Venture CX, to get information about the memory card: Main Menu -> Setup -> System then press the menu button (lower left) and select Card Info Quote Link to comment

Thanks for the help. I now have it up and running using the method of using my gps as a disk drive then going to that drive and removing the files that finder puts on there for you. I didn't need to reload maps or anything and mow it appears that my drift and everything is working well with the latest 3.00 update. FYI the card is 98% full. Quote Link to comment
